Allegro Sight-Reading Contest Begins September 9th

OSM's Allegro Sight-Reading Contest begins on September 9. Ask your teacher to tell you more about this fun skill-building contest.

Why a sight-reading contest?... Being able to sight-read music is part of a group of basic music reading skills. The idea is to focus on the specific skill of sight-reading in a short period of time. The focus and self-discipline brings achievement, which leads to more self-motivation and faster results. The more effort made, the greater the improvement. The contest is really a competition with yourself to see how much you can accomplish.

What are the rewards?… The top 3 Allegro Sight-reading Students will be able to select a book at their suggested level. A list of choices will be provided. In addition, each student who sight-reads more than 300 pages during the contest will get to choose any music solo sheet of their choice!

So…ask your teacher for details and start reading today!!!
